Barmstedt in winter

A traditional North German brick manor house on Schlossinsel (Castle Island) in Barmstedt, photographed across the frozen Lake Rantzau in winter. The two-story red-brick structure features an orange-tiled roof with a small cupola, white-framed windows, and green flags on the facade. Bare deciduous trees frame the historic building, while evergreen trees stand on the right side. The foreground shows the ice-covered lake surface with dormant brown reeds along the shore, and light snow covers the lawn surrounding the estate building on the island.

A moody winter forest path covered in light snow, winding through dense deciduous woodland. The narrow trail curves gently to the right through tall, bare trees with dark trunks and scattered remaining brown leaves. The atmosphere is dim and overcast, creating a contemplative, quiet mood. Patches of snow and fallen leaves carpet the forest floor, with undergrowth and smaller saplings visible among the mature trees.

A stack of freshly cut logs in a snowy forest, marked with bright spray-painted numbers and codes for forestry inventory purposes. The log ends display various markings in red, green, orange, and blue, including numbers like "2116/1 C" and "51/12". The logs show natural wood grain and bark texture, covered with light snow. Behind the stack, bare tree trunks recede into a foggy winter woodland, with fallen leaves and green ivy visible on the snow-covered forest floor.

A rural winter scene showing a railway crossing at Bokholt-Hanredder in Kreis Pinneberg, Northern Germany. The yellow German town sign stands beside a graffitied utility box on the left, while bare deciduous trees with remaining brown leaves create a backdrop against a misty sky. Light snow covers the ground along the asphalt road, which extends into the distance where a cyclist can be seen. Red and white railway crossing barriers and signals are visible in the midground.
